Can attendees participate in all workshops?

Full registrants can participate in any and all workshops and master classes. That said, the events take place in a range of spaces, and a couple of the workshops might fill up. Also, the DIY workshops have a materials fee if you are going to be building one of the DIYRE kits.

Is anything not included in the “all inclusive” price?

Your tuition includes the workshops, private room with bath, 3 all-you-can eat meals each day, and most amenities including the par 3 golf course. There are additional charges if you choose to play the regulation golf course, use the spa services, or get snacks between meals.

Can I bring a spouse, friend or family member?

Yes, we allow one non-participating spouse, friend or family member to attend with each regular participant in a private room. these guests join us for meals, concerts and parties, but cannot participate in the workshops.  Check out our pricing page for rates for non-participants.

Can I stay off site and save money on the room?

No. The Retreat is an all-inclusive experience. All participants stay at the resort and share 3 meals a day together.

Will you be streaming or recording the workshops?

No. The internet is already full of good videos of workshops. Cacapehon is about the experience of being together with a group of people that love music and recording and getting a chance to learn from others in an in-person format. Conversations over meals with the mentors and other participants can be as valuable as the workshops. In a world of virtual, cyber and AI, Cacapehon is about real people together sharing a real world experience.

Can you accommodate my special diet?

Capon Springs food is fantastic. Meals are served family style and are mostly based on traditional country cooking, using many of the same recipes for the last 60 years (and some of the same cooks for decades). We can usually accommodate most special diet requests. Make sure you let us know your restrictions when you register. If you have something very tricky or specialized, we will check with the kitchen staff at Capon Springs to do our best  to get you fed.

What is required to register?

Fill out the registration form and pay the deposit to hold your spot in the retreat. Please see our cancellation policy.
